At Ginger & Knot, what started as one person with a big idea (and probably far too many late nights and cups of tea) has grown into a dynamic duo with a shared passion for creating beautiful, high-quality, UKCA approved products.

Behind the scenes is the maker and creator, bringing ideas to life with care, craftsmanship, and attention to every little detail. Out front at markets is the glamorous assistant the friendly face of Ginger & Knot, handling sales, customer chats, and making sure everything sparkles just as much as the products do.

Together, we’re all about combining creativity, personality, and quality to bring you products we genuinely love making. We believe shopping small should feel personal, fun, and full of heart, and that’s exactly what drives us every day.

Founder & Creative

Six years ago, I picked up a crochet hook with no idea it would completely change my life. What started as a creative hobby quickly turned into Ginger & Knot, a small business built from passion, creativity, and a love for making people smile.

When I’m not crocheting or working on new ideas for the business, you’ll usually find me horse riding, gaming, reading, or hunting for my next random collection obsession! I collect everything from Dr. Martens and Pokémon cards to Sylvanian Families and Jellycat plushies!

Before starting Ginger & Knot, I completed a degree in Psychology and Criminology, which feels very different from running a crochet business… although both definitely involve patience and problem solving.

One thing people quickly notice about Ginger & Knot is the ducks. I absolutely love ducks, so naturally they waddled their way into the branding and became a big part of the business personality. Honestly, it just wouldn’t feel like Ginger & Knot without them.

What means the most to me is that every order supports something that started with one person, one crochet hook, and a big dream. Ginger & Knot has grown so much over the last six years, and I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey.

Grace (Knot)

Business Partner

Not long after meeting Sophie, Grace was quickly swept into the world of crochet, craft fairs, and market day! If you’ve visited one of our markets, chances are Grace is the friendly face welcoming you in, chatting away, and helping everything run smoothly (usually while making it all look effortlessly glamorous).

Outside of Ginger & Knot, Grace works as a Content Specialist for The Conduit in Covent Garden. She also happens to be the brains of the operation, with a degree in Classics and English from University of Oxford... casually impressive, I know

Grace is an incredible writer, a dedicated yogi, endlessly creative, and an all-round wonderful partner both in life and in business. Whether she’s helping shape ideas behind the scenes, supporting at events, or bringing calm to the chaos, she’s become a huge part of what makes Ginger & Knot what it is today.

Every small business needs someone keeping things grounded, thoughtful, and inspiring, and for Ginger & Knot, that person is definitely Grace. 💛
